Billy knew he would never be able to see his family again. Two years earlier he set off on his course. He had been planning it for years, waiting for the right moment when they finally angered him enough to set him off on his journey. He tried to convince his friends to join him but they all had loving families and wanted to stay with them. He flew about the clouds in his home-made flying house but he did not feel above the clouds- he felt alone. Even though he sometimes hated his family they were still his family.

Once upon a time there was a boy named Macintosh. He built the bridge from our tiny island resort to the city but he could not cross because there was always a steady stream of customers. But on his 18th birthday his father finally let him cross, he was so filled with excitement he ran out the door and crossed the bridge. He ran till he finally reached...nothing just space! He was confused then suddenly a man appeared and said "Hello". "Where did you come from?' said Macintosh. The man grew angry "Nowhere!". The boy was never seen again.

“Jelina, come, we have to investigate this object.” Marso said. “Marso, that’s a camera.” I explained. I was surprised at how little the little people knew of the normal human world. A few of them had been humans once, like me, but it was very rare. ”Jelina, that life is behind you.” Said a hoarse voice behind me. “Casunoe?!?” I exclaimed. Casunoe was an elder and human turned-little advisor. “The name Jelina, it means faithful soul and new life, show me that you are.” Said Casunoe. “I will.” I said. I ran to help Marso, and embrace my new life.
It was 1766 and I was going to the theatre with my nan, my pop, my mum and my dad. we were going to see; The Marvels. My mum had said that it was an amazing story of how a boy found some umbrellas but she was lying. As the curtains opened the crowed cheered so did I, everyone was smiling, but only for about a minute then the crowed started screaming then straight after left there seats, to afraid to see what was on the stage, it was, it was a... well, it was a times tables chart that everyone had to memorise. How terrible!
What is above the umbrellas? Nobody knows, until now. 5 minutes ago, I threw down my umbrella and started climbing the tree. I saw the sea of blue umbrellas, from my leafy-green perch. “It’s not raining, for the universal star is smiling upon me a heavenly beam of warmth.” I announced. Someone put out their hand, and upon feeling no rain, stepped from under their umbrella and declared, “The boy speaks the truth, shelter no more, good people of earth, for there is warmth hailing from the sky!” Gradually, more and more people stepped out and embraced the smiling sky.
I sat there in the hospital waiting room, looking for the doctor who was caring for my mum. Then a doctor came out with a solemn looking face. He headed towards me. It was less than a second, maybe half a second, but it changed my life forever. “She, she didn’t make it.” The doctor announced. I was so shocked that I couldn’t cry. “Your mother wanted you to have these.” The doctor pulled out a blue box. I lifted the lid. Inside were my mums wedding gloves. I put them next to Granny’s. “I Love you mum” I murmured.
I was driving in my car, my new driving license in my pocket. I came to a stop sign with a crow sitting on top of it. I stopped, looked, then went forward. Suddenly, the crow cawed at me, its eyes red. The white clouds turned into dark dragons. I screamed. I then remembered my granny’s gloves. She passed away 5 years ago and left them to me. I put them on and held my hand up to the dragons. “Go, away.” And they were gone. The crow turned into the white spirit of my granny. “Well done.” She said.

Arnold and I were walking through the IKEA bedroom section. We were chatting when a noise came from a pile of toys. “Blah, Blah, Blah.” Was the only thing I could hear. “Shh! Hear that?” “I didn’t hear anything.” “Arnold, there’s a noise coming from the toy pile. Come on, there might be something, or someone, under it!” I said. I started digging through the toys crazily. Arnold joined in and soon there was a crying bay in our hands. A mother rushed forward to take the child. “Thank you.” Were the baby’s first words, and they were for us.
