Several hundreds of years ago it was told that there was a lake named after my very own name, Avalon. Water surrounded a beautiful land in Southern England that we now know as Glastonbury which would have been completely underwater all that time ago. It is said that a Lady lived in the depths. She was known as the Lady of the Lake. Nobody knows if she really existed but she was meant to be very beautiful. It's a mystery,if it is myth or legend isn't known but if you visit the T'or at Glastonbury you will see marks in the land where it was once surrounded by water.

I ran as fast as I could to get to the balloons. I wanted to be the first there. I loved helium balloons. Especially the fact that you could suck it in and have a very squeaky voice. Anyway,it was my party, and I deserved to be able to get my own birthday balloons, didn't I? I was still running at this point, and nearly out of breath when I finally reached the front of the line. "Yesss!" I yelled. I picked out 2 balloons and left the line. Soon it was time to go home.I loved my balloons and enjoyed speaking in a squeaky voice!
Fire was burning, trees were falling, but the lake was still.
It was more still than an iron statue, underground. It was a scary sight, and it was pretty much bullet- proof. The fire was growing taller, bigger and wider, but the lake stayed still. The people who lived there loved the lake. They swam in it every day, and were sad to go inside for dinner. But that was before the dreaded fire. Nobody visits our town anymore, but I still visit it. The lake remains still. I went to put up a sign in case anybody is curious… |
