I was walking down a dark street full of rats and bugs and I saw a man and he said "its time" what do you mean its time the world will end "what" I said. then he ran off screaming. I thought to myself is this true and if it is the world needs to know. and I will tell you a little secret I knew it was. the sky turned red fires started burning this is the end. I said to myself it cant be I am so young but im afraid I could now stop it now.

As soon as I received the tragic news that my grandfather had died in the war, deep in my heart I heard the cries of innocent, brave soldiers that had suffered and the sad families they left behind. I was suddenly a young girl again as I recalled the best day in my life when he gave me an exceptional gift to help me find my way in life. It was a beautiful shinning compass that his grandfather had given him when he was a kid. His kind words still touch me deeply "the heart gives meaning, the mind direction and the soul purpose and sometimes it is hard to know where you are going, so let love show the way."
When I was little, my gramps would tell me stories. Stories of the brave and the week, and of the past and the future. When he talked, it took him back in time. It seemed like he was really in the story, the way that he told them, until I found out he really was. He introduced me to the land of imagination. And guided me through it, but the glory came with a warning. You must not let your imagination run wild. You will need to control it. Then he gave me a watch to remind me of the danger.
Hey grandpa how are you are you good? I said I’m good my back is starting to get a better how are you grandpa said I could be better I said well then I know what will make you feel better cleaning out my old cubed upstairs to the left thanks sunny I went upstairs and opened the cobbed and a box feel out the was another small box I went back down stairs with the small box and showed it to grandpa in the box there was an old pocket watch and It was very butiful. What is it I asked Well then were should I start grandpa said.
Down in the cave an old soul sits and waits for death to arrive. He was once a pirate. He waits surrounded in all the treasure he had found over the years.
He holds his most precious possession the watch his father gave him. He watched the seconds , minutes and hours go by. He remembered all the good times he had with his fellow pirate friends .His body slowly started to fail all his memories started to fade. His thoughts started to fade. He started to drop down. He let go of all memories and thoughts and let his eyes close forever “The war is upon us now and might never go away, take this and protect it with all your heart for I shall not return.”
10 YEARS LATER 10 years later and the war has not stopped, peace has not become of this world. Lying in bed looking at the clock that hasn’t ticked in ages, thinking why he left it for me. It’s gone the war is gone and will never come back but nor will Henry and it won’t be, it can’t be. I see why, so smart so brave yet so simple. Now it’s time… Time… Now… When Jenny gets home every day, she would sit down and watch some TV. Then she would get a snack from and go to her room. After three hours her dad would get home and with him he would bring some Chinese takeaway from Zhōngguó guǎn. As they would eat, Jenny would read out her fortunes which most of the time were like ‘be merry for tomorrow you will have indigestion’. But all of that changed when Jenny found an old pocket watch on the side of the road. And when she got home her dad was at the door…
Mum and I are walking to my great grandfather’s house, for he is very ill. Mum is trying to hold in her tears but the roll down her face like a waterfall. I don’t know my great grandfather that well, but I’m still upset. We open the door to his little apartment, and walk into his bedroom. Mum started crying. But my great grandfather was ok. He was telling me stories from when he was a young man, and then handed me a tiny, but really heavy gold watch. “Enjoy,” he said. He closed his eyes, and didn’t say anything.
My grandpa was in the war. He tells me lots of stories about it. One of my favourite ones is he was hiding in a trench and his mate said “Jim what’s the time because our shifts done” and he said “2.30 do you know how I know” and he pulls out a little pocket watch. And what I love about this story is that he still wears it on his shirt today. But on my birthday he unpins it and whispers “happy birthday “in my ear and pins it on my shirt and gives me a big big hug.
